Andréa Bond – LMT, Myofascial Release Practitioner

I have been working in the field of manual therapy since 1996. I studied at the Pacific School of Oriental Medicine and have received advanced training in Myofascial Release Therapy with John Barnes at his treatment center in Sedona, Arizona.

When I was 24, I made a life-changing decision to take a hiatus from a career in classical music. Being a musician had been my identity since early childhood but I was compelled to search for a deeper sense of who I was and what I was called to do.

My search took me back to my childhood where questions about the mind and body were planted, having witnessed and experienced the effects of mental illness. Those questions still lingered into my 20’s and had been fueling my interest in trauma recovery, self-help, personal development, spirituality and the like. Meditation, mind/body healing and non-traditional healing modalities were a large part of who I was and so it was natural that I turned my interests and passions into a career as a bodyworker.

It has always been my mission to be truly helpful and so I have continually learned and sought out healing modalities that I believed would benefit my clients. I found John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy in 2016 and it resonated profoundly. And it IS truly helpful. MFR produces results and it is the primary focus of my practice. Current research in the field of the fascial system is exciting. New discoveries and applications are introduced on a regular basis and I am as excited as ever to stay current and bring you the best it has to offer.

Oh, and that hiatus from music? I did come back to performing vocal music. I recorded 2 CDs, performed with amazing musicians over the years, and have enjoyed teaching music immensely. Look out for future offerings on MFR for musicians, freeing the human voice (for musicians and non-musicians), performance anxiety, the aging voice and more!
